October 14 2009: NO SHOW NEXT WEEK!!!

Hey everyone. Not a whole lot to report on tonight. The show went off without a hitch. There were slipmats for the turntables, the CD players worked, and to top it all off, my new bed music CD sounds way better than the old one. I'm going to be in New York for most of next week, so unfortunately there will not be a show. New York should be a good time and hopefully I'll return with some stories and some new stuff to play. Maybe some interviews? Even though I'm not doing my show, you, the loyal WHUS listener, are in luck though, as Chelsea is covering for me on October 21st! her the same respect you would show me. She's going to use my bed music. For some reason, when people fill in for me they feel the need to play that Television track. It was funny the first time, now it's just sort of lame. Eh, maybe I need a better sense of humor.

No real theme stylistically tonight, but format wise, it was all new stuff or 45s. I found a few around the station, and snagged a few from my personal collection. Everything kind of worked out, even if one of the turntables was missing a slipmat and I couldn't play the song I wanted from the first A Place to Bury Strangers CD because someone stole it. September 30 2009: Attack of the 60ft Fudgebombs

After last week's methodical playlist, this week saw Methanol Cereal return to its usual format. Sort of. Everything (with four exceptions) was pulled from the new bin. I didn't have a lot of time to plan out the show this week and felt the need to overcompensate for not playing anything new last week. Turned out pretty good. Real hip show.
