I can't seem to find the playlist from the May 28 show, but I do have the June 10th playlist (I took June 3rd off, so nothing from that show anyway. Thanks to Neil for covering). Nothing important to report on, except that this was the week the new Sonic Youth album, The Eternal, came out, so I did a Sonic Youth set. Anyway, here's the list...

May 20 2009: Good Guys Win, Bad Guys Die
Tonight was my triumphant return to Wednesday evenings. After a really shitty show and a week off Methanol Cereal is back on the airwaves. You're ecstatic, I can tell. Anyway, it was a pretty good show. Unfortunately, it was also my last show in which I was followed by DJ B squared. "Deconstructing Rock" was always a good time, and it was nice having a compatible replacement for the overnight shift. Unsurprisingly, Bardo Pond and Natural Snow Buildings make sense at one o'clock in the morning. I like to think we made up a pretty good block of programming as I usually could find a way to transition smoothly between shows (B^2 tended to play dronier, more experimental stuff). He will be missed, but I'm sure his replacement (Steve, who I believe is also link-less) will be just as good.
[If anyone is wondering (yeah right) I though the Lost season finale (the real reason for my absence last week) was kind of lame. First five minutes were cool. We'll see next year. But who gives a shit about that anyway?] Let's look at this week's playlist...

Ugh. Don't even bother asking.
Probably won't do a show next week. I need a break. Plus, it's the Lost season finale. Might post a rant I've been working on. Check back in a bit...

April 29 2009
There was some talk of Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson and his recent appearance here at the University of Connecticut. I would really encourage anyone reading this in a timely fashion to check out Boombox from the Boondocks with Benny Shaik, Chum, Apathy, and whoever else might be in the studio, this upcoming Tuesday night May 5th at 10pm on WHUS if they want to hear Rev. Peterson speak. It should be entertaining.
